Credit Management & LinkedIn

One of the most popular business social media is LinkedIn. It has almost 135 million users and is still growing. Not only in the Netherlands, but also in the United States a lot of people use it. Especially professionals in the corporate, high-tech and finance sector.

Although LinkedIn is well known for its individual networking function, the group functionality gives you the opportunity to bond and interact with people that work (or have worked) at the same company or people that share interests or experiences. Several groups on LinkedIn focus on Credit Management, and offer you the opportunity to network or gain knowledge on credit management. These are the LinkedIn Groups we suggest.

  • World Credit management, collections & Risk Forum: This group is for commercial and consumer credit, collections and risk professionals around the world. With a large variety of people from everywhere, the group is interesting for all international oriented credit managers. The group is created in 2008 and has almost 5000 members, of which almost half of it works in finance. Most of the members work either in financial services of banking.
  • ICM Community: The Institute of Credit Management and it’s CEO Philip King are well known all over the world. This British LinkedIn group is for members of the ICM and also for credit professionals around the world who want to connect with colleagues. With approximately 2000 members the group covers an important part of the British credit management community. The majority of the members are working in the financial services industry and are senior, manager of directors.
  • NACM: The National Association of Credit Management is one of the largest credit management association in the United States, next to The Credit Research Foundation (CRF). The NACM focuses on learning, knowledge, networking and information resource for commercial creditors nationwide. Though this group is also interesting for all credit professionals over the world. More than half of the members work in finance and a third of the members has a senior function.
  • OnGuard Community: The OnGuard Community serves as a forum for OnGuard users, credit management professionals and everyone that has a strong affinity with OnGuard. In this group you will find information on OnGuard, discussions about credit management issues and off course events. Within this group a third of the members has a senior function and a third of the group works in the financial services industry.
