Recognising the achievements of individuals within the credit management space, the awards were held in Noordwijkerhout NH Leeuwenhorst on the evening of 24th March.
Arends was up against stiff competition, including business leaders from firms such as Electrabel, Heuver Banden Groothandel, Kluwer, Obvion and Samsung Electronics. However, so impressed was the judging panel by Arends’ dedication, innovation and the results achieved for Belden Europe, they had no hesitation in electing her as ‘credit manager of the year’ in recognition of her outstanding achievements.
Since the appointment of Arends in 2006, Belden Europe has implemented OnGuard’s credit, collections and complaints software solution to support its European finance department. Arends’ strategic insight and decisiveness has been complemented by OnGuard’s advanced capabilities, which demonstrate the importance of having the right tools to support an effective credit management strategy.
