On Thursday 11 November the OnGuard Round Table Discussion Meeting was held in the board room of the Hilton Hotel in Auckland. This beautiful and inspiring location was the setting for the lively discussions about the digitalization in credit management, social media, working capital and repaying debts.
The discussion was led by Owen Goodwin, Executive Director of The New Zealand Credit & Finance Institute Inc. Very interesting comments were made by participants, e.g. they think the percentage of people who worry about repaying debts is much higher in New Zealand than in Australia. A remarkable outcome was that only a few of the participants use social media, primarily for skip tracing. As a result of the Round Table Discussion Meeting they are more aware of the possibilities social media can offer.
Again, it was a very successful afternoon with lively discussions. The reactions were, as usual, very positive about these events. The next OnGuard Round Table Discussion Meeting will be in March 2011.
